Stumptown Comics Fest

I haven't tabled at Stumptown before and am coming down from Seattle and wondering when I should show up and leave? Is the pre-fest worth an extra night in a hotel? How about the after-party? Trying to balance budget with hobnobbing and good times. If anyone has any suggestions, please post...if anyone's actually reading these forums, that is! Thanks!

Heya:

I'm encouraging all the exhibitors to come to the exhibit hall on friday night for early set-up - getting your badges, finding your table, setting your stuff up - and then hitting the Guapo Comics party for drinks and food. Setting up on Friday night helps ease congestion at the front door on Saturday morning, lets the attendees get in more quickly, and then there's stuff already set up for them all to look at.

And the after-party on sunday is more of a socializing/hanging-out than a real party-party, so it's totally up to you whether it's worth staying for.

And these are just the official parties - there will likely be dozens of groups of folks who are doing their own things, and you'll just have to find out about those when you get here, I'm afraid!

Well, we'll have a keg, some food, and LOTS of awesome art on the walls at The Pony Club!

Oh yeah, if by any chance anyone happens to be in town on Thursday night, I DJ happy hours at a place called TUBE, 18 NW 3rd, come down, say hi and have some drinks and listen to music and eat cheap vegan food. It's a pretty cool little place.
