2013 Stumptown Comics Fest Guest Profile - Jen Van Meter

Every Wednesday, join us as we highlight and celebrate a guest for the 2013 Stumptown Comics Festival. This week we turn our attention to Jen Van Meter.

Earning a Bachelors degree in English, and a Masters degree in Folklore and Literature, Van Meter took her knowledge and transformed it into an Eisner nominated career that started in 1998. Writing for the Dark Horse Presents annual, Jen Van Meter wrote the very first comic book appearance for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This led to her work at Oni Press where she created and wrote the award-winning series Hopeless Savages. Van Meter has produced work for many of the major comic book publishers, include Marvel Comics, DC Comics / Vertigo, and Dynamite Entertainment.
